For as long as I can remember, I've had a love for music. In fact
my
love of Rock and Roll goes back further than I can remember. My
parents
have told me how, as a toddler, I used to push a chair across the floor
up to the record player and switch the lever over to the "Play"
position and watch the 45 of Bill Haley and the Comets, Rock Around The
Clock
drop on the platter and the stylus arm move over and drop right in the
starting groove. Then as the music started to pump out of the
speaker
(this was before stereo) I'd bounce up and down in the chair. When
the
song ended I'd switch the lever back to the "Play" position and start
it again. They said I'd do this for hours.
I talked my parents into my first guitar at the ripe old age of 6 years
old. I got my first electric guitar at 11 and have been playing
ever
since. I played Rock and Roll guitar in cover bands starting back in
high school. I've even played with a couple of country bands.
But I've
come full circle and I'm back playing Classic Rock in a cover band.
The most famous person I've ever shared a stage with was Percy Sledge
and I've done some recording. I played and co-produced two albums.
Playing with Hoopdolfin has been the best! I guess one day I'll be
too
old to do this but that day ain't today. Rock On!!
